Itβs a matter of principle. The original Marathon from 1994 was a Macintosh exclusive, so by not making the remake for Mac, Bungie is ignoring where and how they got their start.

I'm a writer and film critic from Australia. I'm the weekly film critic for the Star Mail newspaper chain (10+ years), and write articles, essays and science fiction. I enjoy movies, prog-rock, video games, collecting vintage Macs and walking for exercise

Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 1 is about on the same level as House Of The Dead for me: both films are shallow and incompetent but have some decent scenes and gore (the scene of Piglet with a sledgehammer pursuing a victim through a swimming pool was kinda cool).
I can think of plenty, too. :)
Alien vs Hunter is rubbish. Pixels and Yoga Hosers are way more obnoxious and stupid. The Wrong Missy and the 365 Days series make light of or romanticise sexual assault. Cosmic Sin is boring AND genocidal. Last year's War Of The Worlds has no redeeming qualities.
Someone at the event mentioned that The Tempest isn't performed as often as Shakespeare's other plays (which is a shame, as this and Hamlet are my favourites), but we're actually getting a second local production of The Tempest by a different company in May!
I also brought my copy of Island Noises by Poor Genetic Material, which is a prog-rock adaptation of The Tempest, and the whole cast kindly signed it. I also burned a copy and gave it to the director, and he seemed stoked. π₯°
Watching the play outside under a 140-year old oak tree on a historic site, with the wind often augmenting the characters' intense emotions, was truly magical.
I've seen regrettably few plays in my life, so I'm honoured that this was my first full Shakespeare play.
Matt Young plays the slimy yet sympathetic Caliban with gusto. Hayley Michaels and Paul Brown both pull off distinct dual roles really well: Michaels especially, as the snide, tightly-controlled Antonia, the usurping Duchess of Milan, and the raucous drunkard Stephania.
I just saw a wonderful outdoor production by Ozact of The Tempest at Mont De Lancey.
It was so funny and passionate, the director Andy Delves radiates authority as Prospero, Eleanor Ruth is incredibly fun as a manic Ariel, and Kim Devitt is an engaging trickster narrator as Ceres.
I have an update: I replaced the RX 580 with a GTX 1080 (which was in the mostly-non-working PC I scrounged my rig's CPU, PSU and case fan from), and not only am I getting near-flawless performance in Ultra settings (up from High with the 580), but the loading times are SO MUCH quicker. :D
Itβs pretty significant that Ireland and Spain (among others) are boycotting Eurovision, as Ireland shares the record of most wins with Sweden β seven β and Spain is one of the Big Five countries that automatically qualifies for the Final.
If Apple is to update the MacBook Neo every year, next year's Neo should be more appealing, as the A19 Pro chip inside will have a more respectable 12 GB of RAM.
So far in my new Fallout 4 playthrough, I've rescued Amelia Stockton and massacred Covenant, investigated some cold cases, gathered baseball relics for Moe Cronin, helped some robots launch their rocket-powered sailing ship, romanced Piper (love you, Piper) and more.
But the main plot?
I guess for most people, our sensory wires cross occasionally, but theyβre crossed all the time for synaesthetes.
Thatβs very funny.
But do they do this when no other ravens are around? Do they croak a βThis is mineβ to just themselves?
By talking to themselves, I donβt mean privately mimicking human speech. I just mean cawing or croaking to themselves.
Iβve seen ravens idly walking along and sort of muttering to themselves a couple of times.
Have you ever seen a raven talk to itself?
I have, and to me this undoubtedly indicates self-awareness.
I recently confused Jennifer Connelly for Demi Moore.
Nor me.
A Bungie who doesn't make the Marathon remake for Mac has forgotten the face of his father.
I find it strange that the new MacBook Neo has only two storage options β 256 GB and 512 GB β and yet the iPhone 16 Pro, which has the same A18 Pro chip as the Neo, could be configured with up to 1 TB.
And, again, why does the 16 Pro have six GPU cores and the Neo only five?
I have two of these. :)
I kept one almost entirely stock (by that I mean only contemporary parts: maximum RAM and an AirPort card) save for a 128 GB SSD, but went nuts with the other and upgraded it with a 128 GB SATA SSD, max RAM, the transparent case mod and a slot-loading optical drive. :D
They should have done so with the MacBook Neo.
The original iBook was named as such because it was a portable iMac, but this new iBook would be named as such because of the iPhone chip inside.
Idaβs tics, as Shelley talks through her with verbose commentary in a haughty British accent, are annoying, and the filmβs intro exposes the filmβs fictional nature as Shelley telling a story.
I detest when films do this, but The Bride was fun, stylish and engaging enough for me to excuse it.
3.75/5
The pacing feels sloppy and padded, with a rushed, unfulfilling ending. I also think I hate how they incorporated Mary Shelley, who is also played by Buckley.
The atmosphere is rich with glamour, grime and rebelliousness. The centrepiece dance number is invigorating and reminded me of Young Frankenstein and the Thriller music video, and itβs enthralling to watch Ida condemn the men around her for hurting and killing women.
I have some complicated feelings about The Bride, but liked it overall.
Jessie Buckley is feral and captivating as the bride Ida, and she and Christian Bale have phenomenal chemistry as an undead Bonnie and Clyde. Baleβs monster Frank is deeply nuanced: naively loving, brutish and deceptive.
Do you think everyone experiences moments of synaesthesia sometimes?
In my mid-teens, when I wasnβt as fit as I am now, a warm-up before fencing resulted in that bitter lactic acid taste of exertion in my mouth, and it somehow tasted grey. π€·ββοΈ
A dear friend of mine has word-colour synaesthesia, and so does her son.
She told me that she deliberately avoided influencing her sonβs word-colour connections, but he still independently developed some of the same associations as her, which is amazing.
Very well said.
I loved Sinners, Weapons was very good but I have some tonal and pacing issues, Mickey 17 was okay, Iβm moderately positive on The Bride, One Battle After Another is a very good film I dislike and Wuthering Heights is a bad film I dislike, but all are made with craft and ambition.

Iβm just about to see The Bride at my regular cinema, and the theatre is currently playing that Pitbull Men In Black song you reviewed ages ago.
