This seems very handy. Definitely going to figure out a way to use this in an upcoming project. HT joshtronic.

Nope. They're born meat and they die meat. We studied them for several of their life spans, which didn't take too long. Do you have any idea the life span of meat? HT kottke

It’s far from clear if anybody will actually learn from the experience. Narrator: They won't.

I feel like it says something about how few people want to use this shit that both of the options they give you here seem to say “yep, i want this” and there is no really obvious “fuck off” option… Not as obvious as the giant buttons at the bottom, anyway. And yes, I see the "X", and I clicked […]
This seems cool. Host pages, blogs, create tunnels, and have your own pastebin, all for free and all through a terminal over SSH!

I posted previously (and previously) about adding ActivityPub to my blog. Well, that shit definitely isn't happening. After a few weeks of learning, coding, learning, re-coding, and then a few weeks of struggling to figure out how to deal with all the dumb shit that the AP protocol does, and […]
On Friday, sitting around after dinner, Lauren had the idea of something like Stumbleupon, but just for your own links. And after a couple days of banging away on the keyboard, the result is Link Roulette! Check it out, and enjoy!

So this site is a #NextJS app and it sits behind an #Apache proxy. Yes, Apache, and not NGINX. It's what was running on this server before my site lived here, and it works well enough, don't worry about it. Anyway, I was having a super cool issue where a single JS file was refusing to load, and […]
I just spent way too much time trying to figure this shit out. All the examples I could find, none of them actually worked. Maybe I was doing something wrong - it's happened! - or maybe everything I found was just wrong. Either way, here's the code. It runs in a NextJS environment, but it […]

This weekend I decided I wanted to add ActivityPub capabilities to this dumb thing, so I started down that road, and also decided that the admin UI needed a little overhaul. Turns out, that was easier than I expected :-) Not bad for a few hours, eh?

I am 100% certain I will reference this at least once in the next six weeks.
