I got my Amateur Radio license in 1975. My first computer experience was operating an IBM 1401 in the '60s. I can still remember the days of "bad command or filename", and changing the DOS prompt to F.U. Good times!

There is a reason for the Geneva Convention and other international laws. It isn't to protect others, it is to protect ours. If we flaunt it we are granting permission for others to do so. "Goes around, comes around". Don't complain when the boomerang returns to hit you in the head!
North Korea is the poster boy for why other nations like Iran want them. If you have them, they leave you alone!

Let's make this THE most signed petition in Canadian history.
LET'S DO THIS, CANADA! ๐จ๐ฆ
Two foot landings from a jump were penalized. She perfected the one foot landing to try to make her jump legal. Getting around the rules like that annoyed the judges, so they called it an illegal jump, and yes, many other skaters were doing it at shows, just not in competition. E.G. Kurt Browning.
New petition is out (via Bruce Fanjoy) for every Federal party leader to be required to have their security clearance. Sign, sign, sign peoples. #CDNPoli #Canada

Cowards are aggressive because they are afraid. Like a fear biting dog, these ICE agents are scared of anyone who might conceivably fight back, which is why they totally lost it when they found a gun, even after they disarmed the man. And because they were so frightened they reacted in anger.
I abandoned Windows 4 years ago and haven't looked back. The Linux distro I chose has a great GUI (I never have to use command line), runs in RAM, boots from a USB stick or installs on the hard drive, my choice. I have all the programs I need, and it is very secure.
Libre Office is pretty good. Or make a complete break and go with Linux instead of Windoz, many variations to consider. And free!
Opening up a war on two or more fronts isn't very smart. Ask Germany!
Maybe, but I'm no expert. Goats, sheep, cattle, and horses are not "native" to North America as bison, antelope, deer, etc are. It's debatable whether they are detrimental or if they perform much of the same functions as the species they have replaced. Overgrazing is the bigger problem, IMO.
Sheep are better than goats. Goats tend to jump on things!
Really not easy to get such a good shot. Kudos.

On the up side, you likely wouldn't need to take a laxative!
Bingo!
It's called supply and demand. No demand, no drug runners. Look at how well prohibition worked for alcohol until we just accepted that people are going to drink, legalized it, and taxed it. Pretty much stops the illegal trade. Alcohol is the 3rd leading cause of preventable death in the U.S.
When someone gifts me their old computer and wants the hard drive wiped, I just install Linux on it, but if I want to use multiple computers without having to install a bunch of programs, I just boot my system from the USB drive, no need to install anything. The system I use runs in RAM.
I get free old computers from family and friends, and put Linux on them. Fast, secure, and a lot more fun than struggling with Windoz! Phones? Had to retire my Nokia 3G flip (over 10 years old) because they phased out 3G here, now have inferior coverage with 4G. Not an improvement!
If she is an experienced rider, she doesn't look like one in this photo. Strange hand position indeed.
Lots of things you could do with a rotary phone, including dialing with the "hang up" button when a business took the dial off to block outgoing calls. You could push the button down rapidly the requisite number of times for each number required. Worked like a charm!
Or get a battery tender if you aren't driving enough. I have one for my ICE car because it only gets used when I go out of town. My Leaf is great for local but doesn't have the range. FWIW, the Leaf starts no problem on the coldest days and gives me heat faster than my Subaru.
True. I had to replace the 12 volt in my Nissan Leaf with a decent battery and it's been fine ever since. That said, 12 volt batteries in most cars these days take a beating with all the electronics draining them when they are parked.Used to get years more from a battery. (15 with my Hyundai!)
I think it's amusing that many of the people on this thread who are against Chinese EVs are likely posting with Chinese made smart phones, but whatever...
