Tacos are a sign that God loves us and wants us to be happy! ๐ŸŒฎ

100%. I just refer to him as Putin's useful idiot.

The sooner the better!

I mean what did they think they were even watching? Because Star Trek is pretty much fully automated luxury (sometimes gay) space communism!

And this same advice applies at every taqueria I have ever been to, not just Chipotle. ๐ŸŒฏ

Goodness! ๐Ÿ‘€ You're gonna need a *large* coffee after that! Might want to even add a shot of espresso.

My take: At the city level he was aligned with the Democratic machine that usually runs SF. At the state level I think he has benefitted from running against Republicans who are far too right-wing to win statewide.

Nope, you have it exactly right! Heโ€™s been that way from the start of his political career in San Francisco up until now.

Agree with you. My brother is an excellent example - no 4 year degree, but heโ€™s had a good career as a machinist and is no dummy. OTOH, Mullin is an idiot!

Yes, definitely! ๐Ÿป

The upside is that it would raise the average Senate IQ by at least a few points, at least temporarily.

I could say the same about my parish as well. First Things seems to be just stuck in the 1970s in their mindset.

I would consider myself to be in the โ€œreconstructionโ€ phase of my faith journey and am glad to be at a church where this is 100% supported.

What? There are reality TV Pentecostals now? I guess I miss out on these things by (mostly) not watching TV these days.

Mostly this thread is confirming my decision to become a vegetarian was a good one. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I did not see this coming. But I like it!

Just saw this post. I have not changed my taste for coffee one bit on a GLP-1. The main change for me is that I am much less hungry most of the day. Sometimes I have to even force myself to eat a meal.

That was a large part of why I never got a bike when I lived in SF. I would definitely have been into the idea of biking to work when I worked in the Financial District, but I felt it would be too dangerous given all the factors you cited.

As they should be! Because debt slavery is not something to look forward to!

Not surprising to me. Hatch green chile usually improves what it is added to!

I also got my refunds rather quickly. Filed on a Sunday and both were direct deposited by the following Thursday.

I will say that in my brief exposures to the CEB, I have not really cared for how it reads and is heard in church. I personally would still prefer the NIV among contemporary-language translations. But this version of the CEB looks like it would be a good one for CEB users to have.

And it definitely works for you! I especially like the plaid shirt.

100% true. My husband was a big guy and he eventually found it easier to just buy clothes online.

I typically make a side dish of roasted brussels sprouts/root vegetables at the holidays. Never have I eaten 3/4 of a pound at a sitting, though! ๐Ÿ˜‚

You know, when I was in the military years ago, most of us made fun of people like Hegseth. People who are eager for war and glorify it have something deeply wrong with them and we all knew it.

I really like that framing! I have described myself as "reconstructing" so it's nice to know that Fr. Rohr laid out such a distinction.

I can imagine. My first experience with Thai food was not until I was 32 and visiting San Diego. I was hooked from the start!

If you like Thai food, tom kha gai soup will have much the same sinus-clearing effect!
