RESISTANCE AGAINST CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS πRECS
Stories help us name whatβs wrong, even when the world at large wonβt. Books donβt just entertain, they expose the truth. Fiction has ALWAYS been a mirror, and sometimes itβs a warning. Right about now, I think we need both. Eyes open, friends. #booksky
On Sundays She Picks Flowers is a gruesome tale of intergenerational trauma that was brimming with as much trueness as surreality. It demands a deeper lens and a willingness to look beneath the horror to what lies underneath. What I found there will be with me for quite some time. #booksky
Same here!! I canβt believe I forgot that one!
I love the feeling that comes with setting priorities for the new year. Endless potential and excitement for what is to come! With that, here are just a handful of my priority reads for this year. Every time I look at this list I get excited. What is topping your 2026 reading list? #booksky

Starting today the Fantasy Finisherβs book club will switch over to Realm of Ash by Tasha Suri! We read Empire of Sand in the month of November and collectively loved it! Canβt wait to dive in the last installment in this duology. Find us on fable via the link in my bio! #booksky
Six Wild Crowns by Holly Race is the sapphic, feminist fantasy retelling that I never knew I needed! I am honestly surprised, despite a decades long obsession with the Tudor era, how much Iβm loving this spin on it. What are you all reading this weekend? #booksky
I love to hear this, I may need an audio reread before book 2 comes out!
What is the ONE BOOK that if you see it in the background on someoneβs shelf, you will immediately follow them?
Mine is A Song of Legends Lost by M.H. Ayinde. It signals a love of diverse epic fantasy, queernorm worlds, & championing debut authors; to me that meansβ¦instant book besties!!!
#booksky
Voyage of the Damned, for sure.

Noted! Sounds like exactly what I need. If Iβm not feeling all the things, I donβt want it π
I have this one on my shelf! Maybe I should move it up the tbr??
A bit of a mixed bag for October but such a good trade off for two 5 star reads:
β¨The Land of the Living and the Dead (phenomenal series overall) and β¨Bloodtide by Sophie Burnham (the most underhyped series to exist)
What was your top read in the month of October? #booksky
I completely agree! Itβs probably going to be my top read of the year
Books Featured: Beasts of Carnaval by RosΓ‘lia Rodrigo A Song of Legends Lost by M.H. Ayinde The Second Death of Locke by V.L. Bovalino Daughter of Chaos by AS Webb
Queernorm stories build worlds where queerness exists w/out explanation or judgment, where identity doesnβt have to be defended to be real. Even when queer characters arenβt at the center, the absence of prejudice reshapes the story itself, and that is powerful. Hereβs my underrated faves! #booksky
I never understand these trends, but honestly this a pretty good sampling of my bookish taste! Iβve read and enjoyed each and every one of the books in this palette. Would you be able to complete a full palette of your favorite reads? What would go on it first? #booksky
You killed it!!!
βIn times of uncertainty we can dig deep into the dark feminine and, like the Hindu goddess Durga, arm ourselves with many weapons to provide protection for ourselves or others.β
Tales of the Dark Feminine by V. Castro is a beautifully illustrated compilation of powerful female legends. #booksky
The πvibes π―οΈin this tbr are just truly immaculate

I REALLY need to start this series.
Iβm hearing so many good things about Red City!
Hand holding a book titled the lighthouse at the edge of the world by JR Dawson.
I love the feeling of getting what feels like a personalized recommendation by a bookish friend and The Lighthouse at the Edge of the World by JR Dawson is one of those books. It is a queer contemporary fantasy about life, loss, and family and Iβve been warned to have the tissues handy! #booksky
The FOMO finally got me and I subscribed to @aardvarkbookclub.bsky.social. My first pick was Saltcrop by Yume Kitasei; described as part eco-thriller, part sisterhood epic with dystopian elements. Iβm super excited to dive in! Thanks Aardvark! I look forward to seeing next months picks! #booksky
Thank you for sharing!
