P.S. tomorrow i'm getting a beginner's drawing tablet, without a screen. according to a friend, they're massively marked off because of the AI boom which i find pretty sad and concerning...
and in a strange backwards way, i'm almost kinda thankful for the AI bullshit in this regard. like it's really gotten people in my circles at least, to appreciate the human aspect of art. and i dunno if i would've been able to ever push through this "it sucks" stage without that supportive mindset!!
but the crazy thing is, you CAN just draw even if it sucks. and even though im in the "it definitely sucks" stage rn, it still makes me very grateful and happy that i am even drawing at all.
like i can't tell you how long i've felt that "i wish i could draw, but i can't". perhaps it's because i'm surrounded by really talented artists, both directly and just like via social media.
been drawing a lot the past few days. don't quite feel like its good enough to be posting on social media yet... but its very lovely feeling, having digital art finally click for the first time in my life.
