Alright! Some recent stories for my fellow #MetaAnalysis and #EvidenceSynthesis nerds out there...
First off, a growing surge of fake papers, especially in fields like medicine, poses a major risk to the integrity of systematic reviews www.science.org/content/arti...

Key findings:
HRQoL, anxiety, and depression improved or returned to baseline by 24 months.
Physical HRQoL declined short-term after MBR (6 months) and BCS (12 months).
M saw poorer psychosocial HRQoL at 12 months.
Anxiety and depression were worse following MBR.
New systematic review alert! π’ We examined changes in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in women with breast cancer from pre- to post-surgery, comparing mastectomy (M), mastectomy with reconstruction (MBR), and breast-conserving surgery (BCS).

Copilot was helpful for Python, but for R? It's like asking a poet to do your taxes, overcomplicates everything. Generally great for learning new languages (just not R... skip the AI for R, actually skip R, save yourself!).
Attention #JITAI lovers!

Prior specification is one of the hardest tasks in Bayesian modeling.
In our new paper, we (Florence Bockting, @stefanradev.bsky.social and me) develop a method for expert prior elicitation using generative neural networks and simulation-based learning.
