It's a good time to consider that world leaders could have concentrated all their time and efforts on making our world a better place for us all. But they chose to enrich a few people and a few corporations and turned our world into a living hell for many. We have to change it.

Pedro SΓ‘nchez, Spanish PM.

"The question is not if we are on the side of the ayatollahs - nobody is. The question is whether we are in favour of peace and international legality...You cannot answer one illegality with another, because that is how the great catastrophes of humanity begin."

Two rather scattered rows of upright or leaning thin stone slabs, clearly forming parallel barriers along a grassy hilltop.

The March image from my personal 2026 photo calendar. This shows part of what remains visible of the Neolithic tor enclosure on Roughtor, a 400m high hill in Cornwall, SW England. Dates to 4000-3500 BCE. These upright stones are about waist-high.

The Ides of March approaches and it's making me very sentimental for the concept of large scale organizing to address a shared problem.

If I was @zackpolanski.bsky.social, I would be pointing out to the BBC that whatever model they use to justify giving Farage & his boot-lickers season tickets for every BBC show under the sun must surely now treat Green Party politicians in exactly the same way. Might even be one for the lawyers...

Dave @GamewithDave

They removed CD/DVD drives from devices.

They made physical media harder to buy and use.

They removed expandable storage from phones.

They pushed us into streaming subscriptions.

They made always-online normal.

They made unlimited internet necessary.

Then slowly raised the price of everything.

Ownership quietly became renting.

Is anyone else as confused by this Pentagon statement as I am? We were told that the Israelis and [we] Americans had achieved air superiority over Iran, but *now* we are being told that the Kuwaitis shot down 3 F-15s over Kuwait that were...dogfighting with the Iranian Air Force?

UK will allow US to use bases to strike Iranian missile sites, says Starmer The prime minister says it remains the case that the UK will

I wonder if what isn't being acknowledged is the US finding Iran has more, and possibly better, missiles than expected, and the air defence systems deployed might not be able to cope...

Am I right in assuming that the US is going to be kicked out of the World Cup and other sporting competitions like Russia was for starting a war?

That is how the rules work, right?

Today would have been my dad's 95th birthday, but he died three weeks before his 93rd.

He always joked that he was born on the day after Feb 28th, so had two birthdays every leap year, Feb 29th and March 1st.

As 2024 was a leap year, I was able to arrange for his his burial to be on Feb 29th.

Nigel Farage’s history of spurious election fraud allegations.

2014: Farage claims voting fraud happening β€œon a third world scale”, no evidence found.
2015: South Thanet elections, Farage fraud allegations dismissed.

I dreamed I won a bunch of money and I was so excited because I could fund programs I am passionate about and create scholarships and solve problems. Even in my wildest dreams, it didn't occur to me to use that power to subjugate other humans or cause harm.

These people really are the worst of humanity,
