To my family, community and friends:
We are facing an increasingly dire time. My heart is full. It is with extreme sadness I say that we have slipped over into the authoritarian regime that many of us warned the people of America about. Why do I say this?

People are being arrested and imprisoned for disagreeing with Trump. This is an attack on free speech. People are being threatened if they stand up and vote differently.

Judges who disagree with DT are threatened with impeachment. People are saying that their relatives are named publicly and are threatened. A law in Tennessee passed saying that if lawmakers disagree with trump’s immigration policies it will be treated as a felony and the lawmaker can be imprisoned.

2. People who are innocent of crimes are being rounded up and deported to labor camps. This amounts to human trafficking. These prisons are making money by using the prisoners for free labor.

Some were here in the US legally. They had all appropriate documentation but were deported anyway. One man talks about how he was stripped naked and placed under a cold shower and tortured. This is America!!!
3. There is a war on education, museums, and libraries.

The Department of Education is being abolished. Who will suffer from this? All of us. Our state taxes will have to go up. If they don’t, disabled children will suffer. Children will go hungry.
4. There are now openly corrupt practices happening at the top levels

Bribes may occur through cryptocurrency, meme coins, etc. People from foreign governments are paying 1-5 million dollars to meet with our president at Mar a Lago. Advertisements for people’s car company are being filmed IN FRONT OF THE WHITEHOUSE!!!

5. Judges’ orders are disregarded. A constitutional crisis is here. A dictator has established himself in the White House.

6. People traveling from outside of the US are now being refused entry after having their phones and laptops confiscated and gone through. If they have “unflattering posts” about DT, they are not allowed admission to the US. These people are from our supposed friendly countries (France, etc)

7. We have allied ourselves AGAINST previous allies and allied ourselves WITH other authoritarian regimes such as Hungary and Russia.

ELON MUSK (with no background checks or vetting)with known ties to Russia and China has now obtained data on all Americans, the treasury, social security, and is now getting access (per his own request) to our top secret military plans with China.

8. We have begun to erode people’s rights if they are: LGBTQ+, immigrants, women, non Christian, disabled, elderly, veterans, etc.
9. They are now limiting access to lawyers for veterans at the VA unless approved by specific policy makers.

10. We are treating detainees in our ICE facilities with disdain and substandard living conditions. We have wrongly detained Canadian, German, etc citizens for days and weeks and treated them to horrible conditions.
11. We are now on international human rights

12. Britain, France, Germany, and others are advising their citizens to NOT travel to the US. They feel it is unsafe and are concerned for people’s human rights.

People are fearful. They speak of fear of speaking out. Fear of posts criticizing our administration. This happens in authoritarian fascist regimes. There may a time very soon when such a post as this will NOT be allowed.

I’ve been warned by numerous people to NOT make these posts. They are worried for the repercussions of this.
14. People are being terminated illegally. It is claimed “due to poor performance.” Even when all of their ratings have been superior.

15. Lies are being told from the WHITEHOUSE. “Ukraine started the war with Russia.” Alternate versions of reality are being scripted and expected that we “believe” them. This is a routine practice in places like China and North Korea.

16. People are being denied passports to leave the country: trans people…EVEN IF THEY STATE THAT THEY WILL CHECK THE BOX AS THE BIOLOGICAL GENDER AT BIRTH.

17. This administration has literally called SSA a “ponzi scheme”. We paid into it and they want to privatize it. All while giving contracts to wealthy people who have shown they value profits above people’s lives, rights, or concerns.

Tariffs and rising costs. For those who are ultra wealthy, this will NOT affect their standard of life. It will, however affect the majority of Americans living paycheck to paycheck.

A rise of about 20 percent will create hardship on most American families. Authoritarian regimes often want a class system. There is a wide divide between the ruling class and the “parasite class” as Elon called poor people.

18. The ruling class counts on a submissive uneducated “peasant” class” to perform all of the manual labor.
19. The cronyism of this administration is flying high. The sheer amount of sexual predators coming to the WHITEHOUSE and Mar A Lago is astounding

Our administration intervened to get the Tate brothers freed and sent to Florida. Even against DeSantis’ objections. Conor Mcgregor, a convicted rapist was invited to the White House. Pete Hegseth, a self proclaimed white supremicist, has been accused of sexual assault.

Need I go on? I COULD go on and on and on…we need to pay attention to DEEDS. ACTS. Not just words. When will we all say, “ok! That’s enough!” When will we get off of our comfy couches and start the hard work of reclaiming our democracy?

We want our children to walk in freedom. Our grandchildren. We want freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. Freedom of bearing arms. Freedom of assembly. Freedom to protest. Freedom to live without fear under a repressive authoritarian regime.

I’ve seen a disturbing trend that people are undisturbed UNTIL IT AFFECTS THEM PERSONALLY. They are fine with unjust deportations, loss of jobs, loss of farms, etc. Those don’t affect them personally. Do you not see that IF it is happening to some:

A. It is sad and should be MOVING us…
B. It will eventually affect us too. We are a community. We need to advocate for those of us who are needy. We are a living breathing microcosm of humans cohabiting a planet. We are interconnected. We are all affected if freedoms are removed.
