My art goals for 2026 have been to: (1) become more efficient at drawing, and (2) improve at coloring.
I really enjoy completing art in the lowest possible time, and also practicing with lighting. So far, I’ve been quite happy with the results.

I think it is everyone’s calling to find their art style eventually, and it seems like I’ve changed a lot from where I began as well. I’d like to hope that the change will make my art stand out more and push it in a path that’ll make me more proud :)
I do feel like as I’ve gotten older, I’ve been digging the feel of more mature artstyles, so I’ll definitely try leaning into this more. Not to say that I’ll ever switch to semi-realism, but a mature anime look is on my hit list!

I had a relative with a little pomeranian dog named Bear. As a result, while choosing a unique name for the first time, I arbitrarily named myself after it.
In retrospect, I didn’t anticipate that people would often spell and pronounce my name wrong. But I think it’s quite funny if anything :)

My name XiouShun 小熊 means “little bear“.
While technically it is written like XiaoXiong in pinyin, I altered the spelling to reflect its phonetic pronunciation, which is closer to ”sh-yao sh-yoon“

It always feels like fate brought us together. Ironically, we were perfectly comfortable with our lives before we met, with no plans of getting together at all. But we just so happened to complement each other extremely well, and here we are ❤️
I love to draw slim and graceful dragons, but sometimes I get into the mood to do some stronger and cooler dragons. I enjoy the versatility a lot!

2026 Vs. 2025
You're completely right. I get overwhelmed being on social media because the landscape just changes so fast. It was partially why I felt unhappy grinding out art for 6 months back in 2020. But when I drew not just to keep up, but because I truly loved it, was when I fell in love with it again ❤️
I really hold this piece dear in my heart, because it was what brought me back to art. It took me 9 hours to complete, but given that I had very little confidence in drawing people, much less well, I was extremely happy with how it turned out.
I later gave it to my boyfriend for his birthday.
I actually began digital art in 2020, but after 6 months, I took a hiatus until 2025. What started as just a simple art block had lasted for years until I found the motivation to draw again.
I largely couldn’t feel happy with how my art looked, which delayed my return.
