a sombre morning for british columnists as they move their "The electorate has spoken, we must listen" articles to the recycling bin and upload their "the greens victory shows just how far the west has fallen" articles instead

I again note the same thing I said about Boris Johnson’s Tories: the British press, operating in full bullshit and hate jihad mode, can achieve almost anything, in the short term - win elections, make war, burn anything and kill anyone it wants. But it can’t build anything lasting that anyone likes.

Labour and Reform fought dirty, and they lost. I'm going to spend the day feeling normally hopeful, in a radical break from recent day-after-election moods.

You're not going to regain lost trust with more lies.

I don't disagree, although I think it's a matter of time anyway, without the realignment in Westminster politics the Greens are offering. Either way, my point stands.

Well, but clearly Starmer - and the rest of Westminster frankly - haven't got much of a clue either. We've had 20 years of that model managing a decline in the quality of life in these countries, and it's led us to the brink of fascism.

Literally the only kind of work lots of disabled creators can reasonably do - a creative practice that developed with and around your changing abilities, freelance work, work that is built on the human being you are in particular.

Dunno about others, but I always rush into a bathroom, splash water on my face and stare at myself in the mirror.

motorists will *never* notice cuts to fuel duty (which they permanently be convinced is too high, and in fact actually purposefully being set to victimise them), but the state will bleed itself dry for their discount that doesn't touch the sides, in a way they never would for public transport users

Meme of two people at media podium. Person talking about walking, cycling, public transport, rail & parking has no microphones, and person talking about electric cars has all the microphones.

Your regular reminder that this is still true. It’s changing, but not far enough/fast enough. Keep fighting to change it. #FewerCars #EVs
