I'm glad I'm not the only one.
It kinda felt like, and I know this sounds weird but, running into Tom Bombadil. His knowledge and interests and abilities were so wide and so peculiar, and he seemed disinterested in all the things that concerned everyone else, but there he was and he paid attention.
