4MWh of production for the year 2025 (so far) reached at my house today.
This year I've focused on trying to self consume what I can to reduce my reliance on imported electricity and at 97% self consumption - I'm nearly at the limit of what current clamps and smart devices can manage.

That £3K doesn't really sound like you paid for a great solution, especially as you keep telling everyone how you need to also run a second boiler and a whole bunch of electric resistance heaters

Solar installation was a very simple process, adding a battery and car charger were also simple processes.
@theolodian.bsky.social has a habit of making renewable tech installs sound scary, but hasn't actually had any renewable tech installed...
You only need planning permission because they qualify as significantly changing the external appearance of the property.
