The 125-metre-long machine began constructing the 3.5-mile (5.8km) Bromford Tunnel, which starts at the Warwickshire village of Water Orton and extends to the northeast Birmingham suburb of Washwood Heath, in July 2023.
Specialist tunnelling teams spent 652 days and nights working underground to complete the mission.

We've successfully installed a 14,500-tonne box structure, which will carry the #HS2 line under the A46 in #Warwickshire.
The team will now complete drainage works and install a new road surface and markings, before reopening the road at 6am on Thursday, 1 May.
