[1/2] Yesterday I had my first day as a postdoctoral research at Leiden University where I will be researching emotion recognition and regulation! And with that, I immediately have a call for participants. Sharing is much appreciated!

Additionally, all our measures of individual differences (Big-Five personality, empathy, pre-existing mood, musical sophistication, musical preferences) correlated to affective ratings one way or another, though with a moderate strength at most.

We compared the performance of the discrete and dimensional models in capturing the affective response to short musical sounds. We found that the dimensional model performed slightly better, and in particular energy arousal varied in a way that was not captured by the discrete affect model.
