@nathanbays
Love board games, video games, cooking, and hiding away with a novel. Seattle is home, but learned how to live from NOLA and Malawi. Even as an adult—or maybe especially as an adult—will still drop everything to watch an episode of Mr. Rogers.

I was there but couldn’t stay long—thank you for putting on the demo, the game looks amazing. Love pretty much everything @restorationgames.bsky.social makes.
this is such a beautiful film
Really proud Lost Patients is among this year’s Best of the West contest winners.
“This is an important, informative, and beautifully told story with the power to change how listeners think about public policy and the institutions that shape so many lives.”

My 11 year old came and protested with me so I said he could cuss on his sign!
I love this for you. I got one accepted and published before, you’re inspiring me to try for more.

same, best all week and by a mile
There can be such beauty in board games, but that beauty can often be difficult to express or explain.
I’m grateful for this kind and generous review, which somehow delicately balances lonesomeness and joy as it captures the full, uniquely human beauty of this timely and deeply important game.
Very proud to announce the Department of Health will now process all requests to change gender designation on birth certificates within three business days. Previously, there was as much as a 10 month wait.

Game day ready! MLEM and Fromage with @nathanbays.bsky.social
Yeah, I understand & know firsthand how expensive Seattle can be. Tacoma or Olympia could be great, more affordable but also easy to get to from SeaTac.
Anyway, I know it’s unlikely, but I’ll keep hoping. Just very proud of this state & would love to share it with as many board gamers as possible.
We’re far from perfect, but in terms of protecting the rights of vulnerable folks, I think Washington is a model for the nation. And the folks coming to these shows and conventions deserve to feel safe, welcome, and valued. And I think we would do that.
I really wish they would come to Seattle, Tacoma, or Olympia
I did not know it was possible to admire you even more than I already did, but here we are. You are incredible—I love this video and how supportive and encouraging you are.
I’m so grateful for Will’s series about mental illness & the chance to share share my experiences as a public defender. Many thanks to Will, @sydbrownstone.bsky.social, & @esmyjimenez.bsky.social for the love they put into it & the compassion they showed for the folks at the heart of these stories.
I wanted to be here for this so much but ended up having to work this weekend. You all are amazing, and I’m so thankful for all you do. I still very much hope to meet you all someday.
A wooden table with coffee and the Fromage board fame mid-play.
Great friends, strong coffee, and an exciting new board game—Fromage is so good! Super interesting rotating worker placement mechanism, and even better a total commitment to its fun and unique theme, I just love it.

Happy birthday! I am so grateful for the stories, experiences, and truths you have brought into the world and shared with us all, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
I love everything about this so much
I just discovered your content through your recent steam recommendations, which I thought were incredible & introduced me to some amazing games I might not have found otherwise. I did not realize you had a YouTube channel as well—immediately subscribed & eagerly looking forward to whatever you do!
It means accepting the reality that nobody has more information about me than me, nobody cares about what’s happening inside me more than me, and I am my own. I love myself because I’m the best possible person to have on my side.
This was a really beautiful thing to read. Thank you for sharing it.
ah, I want this on a mug!
Ah, I hope it comes home to you soon! This was my third play of it and I am still struggling to wrap my head around everything going on, but in a fun way. I just think it’s great.
It’s really incredible. I’m pretty terrible at it—sometimes I will think I made a great move and then it just blows up in my face, and I wonder “how did I not see that?” But I love it.
Arcs board game being played on a wood table with an Americano nearby. At local favorite Winnie’s Ethiopian Coffee and Deli in Seattle.
A rainy day game of Arcs with great friends and great coffee. Hard to beat that.

These are great suggestions, thanks! I loved the Broken Earth trilogy so much, will definitely look into a few of the others you suggested.
