Figure detail from PATHLESS featuring a barefoot woman in a long black dress with subtle purple accents at the waist, cuffs, and neck. Her feet are awkwardly position on a rock in the path through a golden field of wheat. As she cranes her head back, her fingers touch the thin black band around her neck holding a broach.

This didn't make any sense. I finally had to stop and realize that it was OK to give myself the freedom to paint something beautiful. If I just relax and trust the process, the themes emerge and the art takes care of itself. 2/2

Actually, in all seriousness, I'm really impressed, it's crystal clear.

I fell out of using them back in the day after my infrared connector broke, and then by the time nostalgia had kicked in, so had my Mum's spring cleaning.

Ive been missing my Psions a lot recently. I bought a psion-ish keyboard for phone and tried to track down an emulator. Do you know of one? I've found a web version, but I'd like one I could actually use and export the documents (I seem to remember rtfs?).

I've been on a spree of reading this series of murder-mysteries. They are easy to read, have a layer of humour, a cast of likable characters, and have just a bit of magic in the background.

I'd really love a sequel to Crudrat, but also more of Alessandro Tarabotti...though, to be honest, anything you write that makes you happy is good with me 🙂

I just love these stories. Other Portal Future books get more epic or romantic, but these novellas are just perfectly balanced treats. Also, joy of joys, Ms Edwards is releasing the next story, chapter by chapter, on her Patreon! I'm so happy right now! #BookSky

I reread it along with the Milieu books. They were more beautiful and powerful than I remembered, but also far more disturbing.

I'm rereading the Hive Mind series by the amazing @janetedwardssf.bsky.social . A fascinating setting, Conan Doyle level mysteries and characters that you care about. I just love this series (and everything by the author).

I love that book and I love your artwork, yet I have never seen this cover. Knowing the story this illustration is deeply evocative. Thank you so much for sharing.

Book cover for "This Time of Darkness" by H.M. Hoover. The illustration shows a young boy and girl emerging from a metal tunnel into a green wilderness.

This Time of Darkness by H.M. Hoover. Totally blew my mind. Tracked down a copy as an adult and it held up.

“It’s a lovely rest from having to think about the time I was 11 and congratulated a family friend on a pregnancy that turned out to be a food baby. Or the day I tried to join in a thing called ‘banter’ and made Ryan Wilkins cry so hard his mum had to come and get him from sixth form.”

Medieval is how an archaeologist gets on you if you use the term Dark Ages in their presence.

I loved book 3, it has a bit of a different feel, more of a mystery, but I thought it was excellent. I'm really looking forward to book 4 too.

This genuinely happened to me in school. I just kept politely correcting my teacher's mistakes until he said "Well, why don't you take the class, eh?". I went up the front and ran the rest of the lesson.

You are right. People are people, your child is your child. I don't see why understanding these facts would be age related.
