A photo of the paperback and hardcover editions of Somnia Bestiae. The print version includes all ~260 pages of the original webcomic in high resolution, plus the following bonus features, for a total page count of 328: - Two-page-extended version of Chapter 6. - Three all-new mini-chapters which supplement the main story. - New art for "Somnia Bestiae! The Musical," and an additional song! - Concept art and behind-the-scenes details of the production process.

There's two versions available, to hopefully balance accessibility, cost, and print quality. - A paperback version with "standard" color in large size (7" by 10", or 178 by 254 mm) - A hardcover version with "premium" color in small size (A5, approximately 5.8" by 8.3") The content of each is the same; the only differences are the size and colors. Lulu's "premium" color printing is very expensive for a book of this length which is why I've decided to make the "standard" paperback version also available. This "standard" edition is more matte in finish than the high-contrast "premium" and does lose some background detail in very dark scenes but is perfectly legible and colorful (and half the price).

This island is where Sikso now resides, at peace with his environment and far away from any humans. Wearing an outfit fashioned from scrap and covered in vegetation, he now lives in a cave carved out of the side of a cliff with a small number of collected gadgets and equipment. He shows Kila around and is proud to present the crude birthday card that he has drawn for her. She smiles.

Katie flips the picture over. The reverse has a message, which reads- Hi Katie! Hope you're doing well! I'm doing good. Millicent asked me to write about what's happened this year so far, so here we go. I wish I could help them fix the city, but they said it was probably best if I stayed away for a while. That's okay, because they gave me this cool outfit and a new job moving dirt and rocks around in the countryside instead! I like seeing all the new places I get to visit, I hope I get to go somewhere snowy next! Sometimes it can get a bit lonely however. I miss talking to you but they gave me a phone number so please reach out soon! You'll have to ask Millicent for it though because they didn't want me to write it down for security reasons or something :( - Kila

Katie opens the envelope. It contains a picture of Kila, who has a new uniform reminiscent of the ones Katie and Millicent used to wear. It consists of a mostly dark-green shirt with a white stripe on one side, a substantial belt, and grey pants. She is smiling, holding some sort of tool, and waving at the camera. The name of a company called "National Heavy Construction" is located in one corner of the photo.

The cloud created by the explosion remains over the horizon. Sikso has seen the whole thing unfold, and is surprised and confused at what he’s just witnessed. He says nothing, while Kila looks back towards him.

Kila has reached the ship. She removes the weapon mounted to it and crushes it in her hand before heading back to the city. The people aboard are okay, but flabbergasted.

The ready light illuminates on the weapon operator's panel once more, this time alongside an error message about the targeting mechanism. He pulls the lever to fire it again without really looking. Having been knocked sideways by the wave, the ship's weapon misses completely, instead causing an impressively huge explosion in the ocean far away.

Kila's snarling face emerges from the smoke. The people on the ship are thoroughly frightened. Captain: "Queue up the second! Give it all we've got!" Kila pushes the water to make a modest wave in an attempt to destabilize the ship.

The weapon operator looks very uncertain. Operator: "Sir, shall I adjust targeting?" Captain: "No, we don't have unlimited shots. Focus only on primary." They watch Kila keep getting closer and closer. Operator: "Any closer and-" A ready indicator lights on the operator's panel. Captain: "Fine, do it!" The ship fires its weapon at Kila.

Kila spots the ship in the harbor just before she reaches Sikso. Recognizing the weapon pointed towards them, her gaze does not look away. She backs off from Sikso and wades into the harbor. Panic ensues aboard. Operator: "Shit, the other one is heading for us!"

A scary looking weapon is mounted on a ship in the distance. Operator: "Visual confirmation. Engaging system now." The weapon operator's confidence is broken after he looks at the targeting screen again and sees Kila approach Sikso. The ship's captain frowns. Operator: "Sir, take a look at this. Aren't we only supposed to take out one of them? Should we hold fire?" Captain: "Doesn't matter. Keep powering it up."
