• Discontinue the idea of introducing a levy on higher education provider income from international students.
• Reduce visa costs to ensure they are at least as competitive in cost as other leading science nations, and preferably have a target to become the mos competitive in the G7.
• Provide immediate clarity that the current time length for Indefinite Leave to Remain is kept in place for current and future Global Talent visa holders and their dependents.

We are calling on the UK Government to not introduce a levy on higher education provider income from international students, reduce visa costs to attract global talent, and to review higher education funding to create a sustainable model

It’s so tough for stories by trans people about trans people to reach mainstream media … amazing work …

You might feel the community of which I’m part doesn’t count but hear us roar, lament, cry out for hope, justice and the chance to live flourishing lives … is it too much to ask for?

Looking for one of my past lectures on-line I find… an advert apparently offering me a curate for cash. 🫣
(Oh algorithm… so near and yet so far).

‘Is university still worth it?’ is the wrong question The graduate earnings premium isn’t really measuring what most people think

Nice to read for once that a supposed higher education problem isn't actually the fault of universities

The problem with unfair negative feedback from students is when university management takes it too seriously. The problem with unfair student grievances about COVID is when university management caves in. thesphinxblog.com/2026/02/18/c...
