Sometimes I think about how full the Santa Cruz River used to be and it makes me sad.

I am a luddite and to me there is a lot of joy in technology. In technology that we deploy for all our wellbeing. Solar panels and vaccines, high-speed rail and wikipedia.

But they joy stems from the feeling of being able to be part of humanity in an embedded, meaningful way. Not from buying shit.

This morning started with some big winds, and huge rain drops. Raining steadily here.

My big UI touchscreen accessibility take is if you touch and hold an element alt text should show up. Not just on pictures, ANY element. Touch and hold should work like left click and bring up options like save image, open in other app, save link, create shortcut, block element as well as alt text
