OH Senate votes to shorten mail-in ballot return window; OR officials will not conduct criminal investigation of errantly registered voters who cast ballots; Schwarzenegger, others urge Supreme Court to hear ND's Native American voting rights case: electionline.org/news/2025/11...
40 years ago, I was thoroughly enjoying Epyx' brilliant multi-event cold-climate sports spectacular, Winter Games. It continued the series' tradition of unusual but very entertaining events, all articulated via absolutely top-tier audiovisuals, and all extremely fun to play.
I think people from the @TEIConsortium or @adho.org would help us enormously if they found the time to intervene here and describe use cases from our field for a modern XSLT in the browser: https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/11578

Don't forget about the Sega's CD "Special Edition"!
The cover of Byte, the Small Systems Journal, for April 1981. In it, a Robert Tinney piece depicts a small bezeled computer on a man's steel wristwatch; the tiny QUERTY keyboard and four side function keys fit on the face, while the micro-CRT reads, "INSERT DISK". Two fingers gingerly load the 5 1/4mm diskette into the side of the wristwatch.

An image titled "Recurisve Panda", with a picture of a waving panda labeled 'Panda' in the bottom left, and an image of the page "Recursive Panda" in the top right. The caption reads: "Figure . Recursive Panda. This picture, in which a panda appears recursively, is created by drawing the panda with a graphics editor that generates Postscript output and then adjusting the resulting Postscript code. The idea is borrowed from an example given by Reid."

I may have been at this talk in person!
Ruby is an odd mix: high level but primitive, familiar but strange.
I liked that the main character was a fairly anonymous everythug
Soft rock is wailing guitars put real low in the mix
Windows 11 is the buggiest, least reliable version since at least ME.
And while it is too early to talk about 2025, I think interoperability will be a major theme!
Interoperability with what and how? Let me know your guesses!
Do UK ice cream next.
