I'm sitting on my front patio here in NE Ohio on this absolutely gorgeous warm morning, basking in the sun, (bombs dropping, lives ending, people crying) and listening to the 2 year old child of immigrants next door singing his abc's, and I think to myself (sorrow, poverty) What a wonderful world.
We're at a point where there are no cheap options to retreat to and no price points that guarantee quality. Every run-down studio is $1400, every fast food meal is $17, every luxury condo has peel-n-stick tiles, every $300 pair of boots falls apart. Endless expensive mediocrity.
You can dodge reality, deny facts, & cover up truth only so long. Every distraction is temporary while truth lives on. Reality wins in the end. Facts have the last word. You cannot undo them, you just cover them up, & that cover can come off at any moment. It's never forever.
