I can't remember the last time I had a casual conversation with a friend or family member about a movie or TV show we had both watched independently. No one watches the same stuff anymore.
Any semblance of "pop culture" have completely dissolved ever since Game of Thrones fell apart.

One of the many things I love about Saltsea is that one of the protagonists is a mom with a baby. Made me realize how rare it is to see an actual representation of parenting in a game that isn't: A; a gruff male character protecting a girl or B: children just being shallow NPCs. More moms in games!

We need a new Luddite movement.

While parents obviously play a big part in allowing this degradation, it's not JUST a parent thing. Tech is just so sinister now, and it has it's claws in old people as well. No one is immune to the addictiveness. I don't think we can have our cake and eat it too when it comes to smart tech.

That's the worst part. They are so fundamentally stunted and so numerous that they most likely will never understand the extent of their cultural deprivation. Most won't even care. It is beyond tragic.

I actually did this a couple of months ago. Cancelled Spotify for good and just filled up my phone with music from my old hard drive. I've always loved organizing files and folders on my computer. I like making my digital spaces feel more personal. I think a lot of people miss out on that feeling.
