Dear Lucy
On the eve of the by-election, your Labour party spokesperson has admitted to the Huffington Post that a
Labour party leaflet has been delivered through doors with your imprint recommending a vote for Labour
by a tactical voting organisation which does not exist.
This is deeply troubling, it is actually lying to voters. Did you approve this? Do you feel the Labour Party
in government should be held to different standards in terms of honesty to the British public?
In your last letter to me you mentioned your ‘very extensive data’ and ‘having spoken to over a third of
eligible voters’ which led you to an understanding that the by election ‘was a contest between labour and
Reform’. Clearly this latest development only tells voters one thing - you will employ any type of
political deception (or in Urdu “Dhoka” ) to win.
You will be very aware that all three real tactical voting organisations are recommending a vote for the
Greens as the best way to stop Reform. Lying to the voters, as you have been caught doing, raises the real
prospect that Reform will be the beneficiaries, something you have said that you don’t want.
As this is such an important issue, for the sake of your own reputation, I would strongly urge you to
apologise to the voters of Denton and Gorton before the polls open in the morning.”
Kind regards,
Zack Polanski
Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales
Dear @lucympowell.bsky.social,
Why did you invent a fake tactical voting company to stop the Green Party beating Reform?
I'm starting to think your letters haven't always been in good faith...

The first constituency poll in Gorton and Denton is out.
It shows the Green Party is ahead.
But it also shows a race against time to reach undecided voters...

Utterly depraved. We must all condemn the US govt. false account. This is facism. We must never let Reform import this to the UK.

Here comes the video analysis:
- Pretti was shot 10 times after they took his gun
- He never "brandished" the gun, assaulted an agent
- They repeatedly pepper sprayed him at point blank range and beat him when he was down
- He was attempting to help a woman who an agent threw to the ground (battery)

I'm sure I don't need to tell you what this means for the construction project, for example, which would initially maybe (if at all) be a little more expensive with sustainable materials and greater efficiency.

NEW RESEARCH: UK heat pumps can perform far better than many think.
Our analysis of HeatPumpMonitor.org data shows well-designed systems achieve ~40% higher efficiency than past trials (SCoP 3.86 vs 2.81), cutting bills (~£224/yr) and emissions.

Zack Polanski nails the reality: the gap between a millionaire and a billionaire isn’t “a bit more money” - it’s a completely different universe.
This is why taxing extreme wealth matters. 👏

Today we’ll get latest net immigration figures - They’ll show immigration for work is plummeting.
Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?
For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

This is particularly good news for people living in flats. Air to air heat pumps are particularly good for small properties, or if damp and mould is an issue. They can provide cooling too, which will help with overheating in flats.

No sudden rupture is now required for the far right to take power in this country. For what we're seeing is a steady normalisation of extremists by the Conservative and Labour Parties, BBC, Telegraph, Mail and others. A shift once considered unthinkable beings to look acceptable, even inevitable.🧵

Blaming foreigners may be politically convenient, but it distracts from one of the true culprits behind inflation: climate change.
Instead of blaming foreign workers, Japan's new PM must recognise climate change as one the main culprits of rising costs of living--and deliver climate action "as an act of love and necessity."

I'm very concerned about all the #GlobalSumudFlotilla detainees, but especially Hannah Schafer, who seems likely to be held in extended detention in Israel. Israeli armed forces have committed grave and multiple breaches of international law in attacking the flotilla and mistreating its crew.

How to tackle (and not tackle) migration: lessons from Italy
[FREE TO READ] Successive British prime ministers have destroyed trust with a millefeuille of falsehood about asylum seekers
My Trade Secrets today. Govts often do an immigration sleight-of-hand, demonising a tiny minority esp asylum-seekers as cover to admit workers.
Giorgia Meloni can still pull this trick off and is issuing 500k non-EU work permits. Keir Starmer is so scared & UK public trust so damaged he can't.

Cooper suggests asylum seekers could be moved into warehouses instead of hotels – UK politics live
Home secretary says government aims to ‘shrink the whole asylum system’ and is looking at ‘military and industrial sites’
When centrists adopt far-right rhetoric, they don’t make themselves stronger. They make themselves look inauthentic, legitimise the far right, and shift the political debate onto terrain defined by their opponents.
