Former Plaid Cymru leader Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas has died Dafydd Elis-Thomas led the party between 1984 and 1991, and later entered the House of Lords.

Very sad to hear of Lord Elis-Thomas’s passing - someone who always chatted to me in the corridors, guided me through my first formal events and shared his love of Star Wars whenever he could!

A genuinely lovely man who worked cross party for what he believed in.
