On the Strength of All Conviction and the Stamina of Love
Sometimes I think
we could have gone on.
All of us. Trying. Forever.
But they didn't fill
the desert with pyramids.
They just built some. Some.
They're not still out there,
building them now. Everyone,
everywhere, gets up, and goes home.
Yet we must not
diabolize time. Right?
We must not curse the passage of time.
Another favorite comfort poem, by Jennifer Michael Hecht.
Take rest, take rest.

Someone should write a musical where all the "I want" songs are for people to like and subscribe. Maybe one could sing about going viral, but mostly, I want all the songs to hunger for likes. "Tonight, tonight, I'll get some likes tonight..."

Hi I'm new here. Recently I used a Horton Hears a Who reference in my Substack. I was feeling politically unseen and said something like It looks like nobody heard Whoville. And I mentioned that they were going to boil our dust speck. Do you know what I'm talking about or is this gibberish?
