This will be a project I work on slowly and will not be my main focus. Of which is getting better at game development

Lowkey might revive that Monarch of the Disco project.
All of my old code is unusable and I have now realised the gameplay of the would have been awful.
But I don't want the dumb little story I made to go to waste
Should I have nerfed this?
Yes
Did I?
No
thesixyearold.itch.io/game-i-made-...
But NO bugfixes
I can't be bothered
okay adding some small QoL features then shipping it
I'll remove all of the information that doxxes me (as this was a school project) and put it on itch
I finished this back in November. I should probably release it
Shit's getting good
Using Godot for this current project as I need to make it quickly and I know Godot better
The streaming part; I am making a small platformer
Now this,
this is how we name variables
(I will never mistype nor forget this)
This was a lie
Making a platformer. Will stream tonight
I feel so much more organised. A big part about that is definitely having my code in a separate window.
Do hate how I can't access the editor while the code is compiling tho
Like please
Lowkey enjoying Unity more than Godot
I still want to make Monarch of the Disco. But I'll need to restart development because I was building the game for a presentation, not for it to be functional.
And even though I had little, restarting seems daunting and scary
what was he cooking I am not full of ideas
:D
This account may be going on a hiatus (not like I have been active much anyway) as I am going to start game dev with my friends and stop most of my solo-development.
I would also like to apologise to @megashockneo.bsky.social for promising a game that never came to be
I have an idea for a wizard game. I will update when I have something working. I will work on my old game when I'm motivated and experienced enough
Taking a break from Monarch of the Disco to focus on other projects. I'm burnt out and have realised that it is too ambitious.
Luckily I'm brimming with ideas
I should start streaming. I feel like GD might be funner that way. Game development too.
Now that school is out for the summer I can now work on the game in peace
No more deadlines.
Sorry to the people I reached out to in DM's earlier promising a June release; it was for a school assignment.
My shader doesn't work the way I want it to :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
September is likely too soon as well, but a steaming pile of garbage with the resemblance of an idea is better than what I have now so I'll go with it.
Changing my mind. Game is not ready, at all, for June. Gonna try to put something out by September. Just don't want to release something without its entire gimmick and violate my ideals
Can't wait for the school year to be over so that I can work on my game more. The sorry state I'm going to be "releasing" it in won't even have the entire gimmick in it because I currently lack the skills to mix music and the money to commission artists.
Fuck it. The whole point of me making this account was to publicise my process.
The game will release in a sorry state, and will be worked on. You guys will get updates and be able to play every work in progress version of my game.
No delisting, only progress.
I hate having this game be a school assignment.
I want to release the game in a good state, not barely working with no features.
Please excuse the sorry state the game will be in on release. It will be delisted and worked on later
