Yesterday I played two rounds of Lil’ Ninja + the new expansion with my guitar student, and we had so much fun! We spent 2 hours playing the game! I won both rounds! Harrr harrr harrrr!!!! 💜💙💚 #boardgames
This is how my last single player match ended! I originally designed it for 2-6 players, but later on I got inspired by a mistake a player did while learning the game, and I came up with a very interesting challenge for one player. So, future editions will def. be 1-6 players! #boardgames

All buttons, physical or in software, should give feedback about wether it has been successfully activated. Make a sound, show a light, change colors, whatever. Just don’t let me waiting like an idiot if I happen to miss the click or I didn’t push hard enough with my finger.
I am a nice person to be around. I think it’s because I care deeply about the feelings I cause in others. I crave social inclusion. I guess it’s a flaw in my personality, but it has resulted in a way of behaving that makes me feel good when I’m nice to others. Do you care about other ppl’s feelings?
I’d recommend reducing the initial delay a bit, to make the character feel more snappy on the controls. Most animation tutorials say it’s ok to sacrifice a bit of the anticipation phase of the animation in the case of video games, to improve the responsiveness. So almost go to the impact directly.
During playtesting of my new expansion I noticed that we were spending all our resources to buy expansion cards, because they have so many advantages. We then played so that each time the dice are thrown, you can choose 2 expansion cards for free.

It definitely makes a simpler product. I guess you could argue that just because *I* don’t need it doesn’t mean someone else (e.g. a jazz musician) doesn’t need it either, so it narrows down the guitar to certain styles. But yeah, for me, it’s all I use.
I use one knob on my guitar: the volume. All the others could be fixed, as far as I’m concerned. At least the setting is easy to find: bridge pickup, all knobs turned up to the max. Then roll back volume to about 8 or 8.5. All set 🎸 #guitar #music

Today I met with the guy who runs the local board game club to show him my new board game expansion. He loved it, and asked to play another match. After about 2 hours of intense battling, I won one and he won the other one. He scored it 10/10, and congratulated me multiple times! 🤩

My board game with the new expansion is so addictive that my daughter asks me to play it almost daily. Which is great because I need to playtest the heck out of it. We played THREE matches today! I won the first two, and she kept on wanting to play until she won one

I agree, but I think it’s also due to the tendency of non-gamers to assume a lot of things at first sight. Like, they see pawns and dice and immediately conclude the game has a “roll and move” mechanic, just because the only game they know is Monopoly.
It’s hard to have an open mind…
