Welcome to LWC Communities!

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing :) I will share it with our team for our the toy adapting work we do.

We are actually just wrapping up this year's hacking for the holidays (www.makersmakingchange.com/hacking-for-...) over 3,000 switches and toys built 🀯

Anyone ever got XAC or any adaptive controller connected to a VR system (like meta quest 3)?

No VR systems to test here. I found a video of someone pairing a standard Xbox controller so seems there is hope.

Sharing again – for an Access Granted report, I'm looking to speak with accessibility consultants that have yet to be credited for games they've worked on. Feel free to send me a message on bluesky, and if that doesn't work, my email is in my bio

Search Games - Family Gaming Database

Often times, I will recommend or use www.familygamingdatabase.com/en-us/search... and filter from there. Of course, not every game under the sun is on here and you maybe have done this already but it can be a great starting place

Thanks for your thoughts @one-switch.bsky.social ! Do you mind sharing why you don't recommend TRRS joysticks?

I have another XAC running 5.22.16.0 and it is working with the joysticks fine in X1 and X2.

The XAC that is having problems is running 5.23.6.0

So, this is likely related to the newest update as the older version works with the joysticks fine along with others experiences.

Note: If using the Xbox Adaptive Controller (XAC), and using the push switch, make sure to plug in the
switch cable before the joystick cable, or before moving the joystick. If the joystick was plugged in first
and moved around, please power the XAC on and off before plugging in both the switch and joystick.
If the switch cable was previously plugged in, but now the joystick is being used alone, power the XAC
off and on again.

Ah thanks for letting me know! That may be related to the order of plugging in the cables. See this note from the user guide.

Let me know if this helps.

One of our GAME Checkpoint leads reached out to us about this and after updating my system I am running into the same issue.

Is anyone else having trouble with drift through the X1 port on the XAC after updating?

I tried using a few of our 3.5 mm trrs joysticks (oak, spruce) and finding drift only in X1 port and not X2.

There is no microcontroller or board between the joystick and trrs cable on the joysticks I have.

Managed to badly play Mario Kart World on an Xbox Adaptive Joystick, using a Mayflash Magic-S Pro 2.

Also works with the Xbox Adaptive Controller (wired).
DualSense works both wired and wireless, including gyro controls.

Couldn't get the PS5 Access to connect at all.

Seoul has been great so far! Landed yesterday and the very kind conference staff and interpreter picked me up. Ate some good food and slept off the jet lag.

Now off to the Gyeonggi Rehabilitation Engineering Service Research Support Center!

Yeah I would love a version 2 of the flex controller that is more widely available and improved (I have suggestions πŸ˜…). Here in Canada it's $400+ which is ridiculous. Most of the time we are recommending XAC's with a Mayflash for Nintendo control for this reason
