I played some Jubensha games Rabbit Hole ran at a recent tabletop con. rabbithole.rs/jubensha/ Really excited about this brand new medium of entertainment. I've never had such an easy time roleplaying a character. There is really rich social gameplay. Really excited about the future of this format

Coolest trpg I’ve read since You Will Die in This Place. Authorial voice with attitude carries the setting and themes.
Even in the cultivation genre, the setting is unique. Mechanics look great, but I’d need to play. It's not like other games I've played. Maybe a bit of 4e with osr sensibilities
This is an evolution of my insistence that cool shit is coming from post-OSR and storygame people listening to each other, and often that shit ends up looking remarkably larp-like.
Magic flutes and enchanted lutes, wizard battles in lightning storms, and a whole menagerie of puppet animals and creatures alongside wire fu sorcery warfare incorporating prehistoric digital experimentation. Just more and more of that strange harmony between the weird and the dreamlike.

I played Otherscape based on same system. The themes are very powerful in building a consistent character who keeps coming back to same ideas and weaknesses.

The value is huge on all the Chaosium starterboxes. The best in the trpg market. Actually teaches you the game in solo adventure and eases you into GMing with 1 on 1 scenario.
