"The most relevant question is not 'is this government bad?' or 'do they deserve it?' The most relevant question is 'will this use of military force make things better, enough to be worth the death and suffering itβll impose?'
Itβs hard to see how this will." www.liberalcurrents.com/internationa...

I read through hundreds of emails and scoured through years of correspondence and background information to write this 4600 word report.
It confirms what we all have been saying about the anti-trans movement from the start. Read it from the top down, I can't even begin to summarize it all properly.
The are attempting to gut and destroy the boundary waters and the vote is as early as NEXT WEEK. Please call everyone now!
This is another effort that has taken a HUGE amount of local activism, led by community folks who care.

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.
All that βimmigrants are bleeding us dryβ noise? Absolute bullshit.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:
- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE
Well said.
DFL Party Statement on Trump and Bondi's Attempt to Extort Our State Voter Rolls "Donald Trump and Pam Bondi are demanding access to Minnesotansβ voter rolls in exchange for relieving us from the federal siege we are under," said DFL Party Chair Richard Carlbom. "Let us be direct: Fuck off."

A Vow We do not fund what we refuse to become. We grieve without surrendering. We organize without escalating. We keep our power aimed where it belongs, at the people who choose these budgets in our name. We, the people, stay human. We, the people, stay disciplined. We, the people, keep the pressure on. Alex Pretti's parents asked the public to share the truth about their son. As reported by NBC News, they described him simply and accurately: a good man. We honor him by refusing to let this become routine. Jennifer Canter - The Unquiet American

Minnesota Republicans Brought This Violence to Our Home
On June 14th, Melissa Hortman, was murdered in her home by a man disguised as law enforcement.
Now, men disguised as law enforcement are murdering our neighbors in the street.

Dr. King believed our democracy would only make sense when every child was fed, every mind was educated, and every community had dignity and freedom.
That vision is still unfolding. So, on this MLK Day, let us recommit to the work of building the world he dared to imagine.

For @msnownews.bsky.social, I wrote an article about how ICE Watch is grounded in sociological theories of violence prevention.
The reality is that most men will only commit public violence in extremely specific scenarios and ICE Watch disrupts the conditions necessary for escalation.
Minnesotans are fighting back against ICE and right-wing media propaganda in the most American ways possible: peaceful protest, Pickle Rick costumes, and tossed lunch meat
I wrote a little bit about this in my book The Uncommon Knowledge of Elinor Ostrom in the chapter about cyber and knowledge commons. People contribute to "pure public goods" (non-rival, non-exclusive) for a variety of reasons: reputation, community, fun, etc. Same with sharing code on GitHub.
