It’s important to celebrate this progress, but there’s still work to do to tackle stereotypes, bias and discrimination.

The good news is #CommunityRail will keep playing its part, working with local communities and our partners across transport to help build a safer, fairer & more connected future.

The same is true in transport. Across #CommunityRail, there’s real momentum to create a more inclusive transport system, with our members leading the way, helping people in their communities access opportunities in ways that feel safe, welcoming and sustainable. #InternationalWomensDay

This year’s #InternationalWomensDay theme, β€˜Give to Gain’, reminds us that when we give women opportunities, support and recognition, everyone benefits. We gain fresh perspectives, stronger communities, and a more inclusive future.

A lovely bunch of folks took part in our free station walk this past Friday! 46 humans/2 dogs made the trek from #Lowestoft to Oulton Broad South; many continued to Carlton Marshes cafΓ©. It's one of the most interesting walks we do, the landscape changes every few minutes.

What a successful day we had at the Scarborough Expo! There was lots of interest in our line, especially this year's Forget-Me-Not Dementia Trains, starting on Wednesday 15th April. Our friends from Yorkshire Coast CRP shared their stand with us and we made many new contacts and useful connections.
