Octopath has a Cait mod for a similar reason. The routes differ pretty significantly if you get an early one or not and having it as an option is nice for marathons.

I can remember people quitting school to fulltime stream during the early days of partner. It worked out for a few of them, but I would have at least finished school if I was in their shoes. I was out of school when I got it though so the temptation was never there.
