i'm in the minority who think the console is fairly priced in the US. it's certainly a loss leader here with all of the money that went into the fantastic display and the joycon 2 etc.. and tarriffs..

software sales on the other hand.. first party games don't interest me and i am thankful for that

in theory, but in practice not really. nintendo still managed to sell well over 5 million consoles last year with no price drop. they are the cheapest means of entry buying new consoles thanks to them selling tiers of the family with the lite.

i hate nintendo, but they know what they're doing.

i seem to recall that nvidia gouges the cost of tegra x1s for nintendo since they have been the only customer for the chip since like mid 2018 and they have no choice but to pay out. you won't ever see a price drop. they're cheap second hand though.

(2/2) 8 years doesn't mean what it used to when technical improvements are plateuing and backwards compatiblity is standard. i just think we need to look forward and stop looking behind, those games exist, the blundergat is there if ya want it.

(1/2) i will preface that, as per my first message, my opinion is impacted by whether or not there's another, wholly unique weapon. i think these refreshes can be OK as long as its not being banked on. the date of last appearance doesn't mean much when games have more staying power than they used to

i would maybe agree if this was the first time they've done that but it isn't (magmagat). we need to have higher standards. microsoft has infinite resources, yet they stretch their studios so thin. it isn't acceptable. i sympathize with treyarch and don't blame them, but we can't justify this stuff.
