cutest thing of literally all time that i learned recently bc im growing clovers is that when the sun sets my clovers tuck themselves into bed and go to sleep…. they just close up their leaves for the day and open again in the morning…. i’ve never seen something so god damn cute in my life
yeah it’s rough but i don’t expect ppl to know how much work it is so that’s okay! IYKYK cus the ones who understand will say more kind and pointed praise that i always really appreciate, but yeah ive considered making YT videos of the process, it could be a lot of fun >3< to share and also inform
obviously u don’t have to learn all this stuff to cosplay but when ur a hardcore cosplayer u kinda turn into a craft-jack of all trades and esp if u wanna do things not super expensive n repurpose junk/trash like i do u gotta get good at improvising and it’s quite fun !
yeah definitely but it’s also imo a broad encompassing art form of many other skills, like yes i’m good at cosplay but in order to be that i became good at sewing, sculpting,3d printing, 3d modeling,painting, makeup, photography, lighting, editing, posing, etc like i even learned electronics for it
shout out the the barnes and noble cashier who scanned my books and went “oh! this is.. an odd assortment of books! is this ..all for you?” LMFAOOOO
like my cosplay (though it’s nice and i appreciate it) but i think it’s like a .. proving to myself that my art matters and is likable and that ppl aren’t just sticking around cus they like me *visually* .. i just.. want to share what i make w ppl and have them like it organically :]
cus i don’t wanna use the cos attention to boost my art, my bsky is a combo just cus i didn’t wanna make 2 rn but i’ll probably separate it later bc i want my art/comic account to grow on its down so it can have its own merits if that makes sense, i don’t want ppl just supporting my art cus they
i guess the latter, i have been cosplaying since i was like 11-12 and i always posted it online cus that’s just kinda what u did esp cus i grew up on tumblr n i never tried to market it or gain a following but it just kinda happened, n i try to keep my other passions separate-
