It was not! blog.cloudflare.com/18-november-... Impressed by their ability to get a detailed post mortem out so fast.
I bet it’s gonna be DNS again. #cloudflare
Moved to Elixir 1.19 in production. Total non-event. #elixirlang
Hit off-by-1 errors in timing related tests when upgrading to Elixir 1.19. Turns out DateTime.diff changed subtly, it used to drop microseconds (everything rounded to seconds), now keeps them. Our tests relied on old behavior without realizing it. Hopefully saves ppl some debug time! 😅 #ElixirLang
Things that are unreasonably hard when running systems at scale: counting stuff accurately
Love this.
I would like to see a new benchmark on how well different LLMs are able to diagnose issues raised by Dialyzer. #myelixirstatus #elixir

This is incredible!
Schrijnende constatering.
🧠 Both AI optimists and pessimists are missing the point. The real conversation should be about how we build trustworthy systems—not about sentience or superintelligence. Let's focus on practical risks and benefits instead of sci-fi scenarios.

There is one place, however, where Musk, with the help of his minions, achieved his goals. He did indeed shred U.S.A.I.D. Though a rump operation is now operating inside the State Department, the administration says that it has terminated more than 80 percent of U.S.A.I.D. grants. Brooke Nichols, an associate professor of global health at Boston University, has estimated that these cuts have already resulted in about 300,000 deaths, most of them of children, and will most likely lead to significantly more by the end of the year. That is what Musk’s foray into politics accomplished.
Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty.

i think it should be a bigger story that the president held a meeting with a foreign head of state where he ranted about the most gutter white supremacist propaganda you can find on the internet
Have you come across the “I got a dog so I could talk to other strangers with a dog” folks yet?
Yesterday’s 20 hour turn.io unintentional load test was compliments of a customers infinite http request loop!
Amazing! Go David!

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
And teams that do build around microservices seem way more likely to start hating each other and throwing things over the fence as a result of the API contracts.
For the most part to me it seems like microservices make more sense when you have teams that hate each other and only want to communicate via API contracts.
It’s entertaining to me that our Turn.io app is the most network distributed application I’ve ever been part of building while also the largest monolith. Thanks to #elixirlang microservices aren’t a tax worth paying or even make sense to consider from an architecture standpoint.
