I over-simplified: it's not just rent being controlled, but various renters rights coming in. I don't know if all the small landlords are also evicting tenants and selling up, they might be, but it's not as obvious because of the numbers currently involved. I'd much rather see more social housing.
Like the large soulless corporations currently evicting huge swathes of Londoners before new rent controls come in?

At the moment with something non-infectious (frozen shoulder) it's really hard working out at what point I'm feeling rubbish enough to just call it a day early and go lie down though!Hoping to get nerve-block steroid injection at GP, but won't be until the 26th, can't really just *stop* for 2 weeks.
(Technically it's an academic rather than corporate environment- but I usually do two days in the office and two remote anyway)
If I'm sick enough not to go out with Cate: no work.
If I'm borderline: sometimes one way sometimes the other.
If I'm just a bit bleurgh and full of germs but can think OK I do work from home. We try to encourage people not to bring germs into the office.

Matthew (nearly 13) is gradually coming to terms with the fact that a 1 in 5 chance doesn't mean you're going to get exactly two of them if you roll 10 times. It's still frustrating if you're unlucky!
I just buy everything in purple. Or black. Or sometimes red. And I've got a couple of nice blues. And pink is basically a shade of purple right? And who could resist rainbow dinosaurs? But mostly purple.
