Many have stacked bits which means in order to change a bit, it has to remove the bit above it, write the bit, and then re write the bit above it. This way of stacking bits allows drives to have a lot more storage than they used to at the cost of significant performance loss. As much as you want the reliability of enterprise drives, the performance cut isn’t worth it. Hard drives themselves are barely worth it these days with the ever decreasing cost of SSD’s, but if you’re going to get one, avoid enterprise like the plague unless you just want one to store 20 tb of video/pictures that you have no intent on ever editing, just for long term storage
