LSU's Olivia Dunne and Louisiana native Brooks Nader land roles in new TV series Look for it next season

Livvy Dunne in a TV series shooting in LA. Only a matter of time until Skenes is in Dodger Blue. Sigh.

"Lethality" is the buzzword in defense contracting like it never has been before (been in the space for 20 years). Ethical contractors are asking hard questions right now. Palantir (and my much, much smaller former employer) are not. They want lethality, we'll give it to them, consequences be damned

The one thing it was really good for was turning resumes into bios. We spent tens of thousands of dollars on AI proposal software, an that was literally all it was useful for.

As someone who was forced to use it at work, and still has to edit people who use it to write...it's not ready for prime time. It hallucinates even when it is just accessing an internal library, I could do most task more quickly without it due to cleanup time.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki, would like a word.

Also...what a sociopath.

The only way the can be prevented from bidding on/holding government contracts is for them to be debarred. And debarment is not a simple thing.

This is an incredibly naive take on government contracting. Palantir has their fingers in literally every agency in the country. It will be virtually impossible to unseat them, no matter what party is power.

How many high-ranking military offers who were women did he and Hegseth relieve of their duty or reassign?

People who don't have any real skills or experience?

“Accessing invalid data will only draw inaccurate conclusions and risk further degradation of public confidence,” said Ryan Macias, a national elections technology consultant who observed the audit on behalf of the Arizona secretary of state’s office.

I wasn't back in time to vote in the primary, but I was following it. I probably would have voted for Lamb. But I supported Fetterman in the general...and if circumstances were exactly the same, I'd probably do so again.

Still...hoping a decent candidate emerges to oppose in the next primary.

I didn't work with those agencies much in the past year, so I don't know. I do know that most of the senior officers we worked with at the Army and Air Force took retirement sooner than they planned.

I can tell you that the Department of Labor lost a ton of experienced people

Without the return of the Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito, none of this matters.

It was so weird to me that folks blamed the Democrats for that whole debacle. They at least tried to do something useful. All the GOP has done is to make interest not deductible unless you itemize and make forgiveness and income-based repayment harder.

Voters absolutely, positively do not reward Democrats for trying.

Two words: student loans.

With the cuts and layoffs DOGE made, they have ended up having to go to government contractors for the same work, because they didn't realize they were cutting essential positions. So they end up paying more for the same jobs.

I can tell you from working for a defense contractor (who thankfully got out) that saying there is chaos within the Pentagon is an understatement. They've lost a ton of knowledge and skill within both the miitary and civilian workforce.

Only reason I know him is he was involved in the Scottsdale Fashion Square looting and vandalism in the summer of 2020. It was during the George Floyd protests, but the looters were mostly bored, rich, white kids.

I would say one of his people should tell him "mutilization" isn't a word, but a) they probably think it is since it came from his sacred mouth, and b) he wouldn't listen anyway.

If a general did, in fact, say that, then that general should be courtmartialed.
