Opinion: Witchfire Is So Good It Has Me Rethinking Early Access Games

Witchfire on Steam Witchfire is a first-person dark fantasy RPG shooter in which you play as a wicked sinner turned witch hunter on his final mission to reach salvation.

As a couple people have mentioned too, if you want something that plays like Nu-Marathon (Destiny-esque combat with cooldown powers) but is singleplayer, you might love Witchfire.

I'd say it's only like 10-20% extraction shooter. It's part Destiny, part roguelite, part Souls-like. VERY good blend.

like, FFVII is pretty hype cuz it's a steampunk JRPG, it has a movie, the characters are popular as hell

BOTW/TOTK leaves a lot of interpretation when the characters are the umpteenth incarnation of our blorbos

people have their blond sword guy and will depend them to the death, as well as their games

the end result is that the franchises are so monumentally different, and the Classic vs Remakes/BOTW style is so silly. games will evolve beyond what we adored them for originally
