I don’t even understand their argument. SNAP benefits are just money you can only spend on food. It’s not like you show up with your SNAP card and go “one grocery please!”

I liked this movie quite a bit. Porco stands out a lot amongst the other Ghibli protagonists by being a sort of gruff character. It was a little slow with a lot of the movie being characters just sort of chilling out but ultimately that was fine because the characters were still charming

I definitely liked it! “I’d rather be a pig than a fascist” is a really good line. Per usual with Miyazaki films, really great and charming characters

I think this is the most obscure video game that has had a profound affect on me as a person. This lead directly to my interest in Sengoku era Japan and Romance of the Three Kingdoms and it's style mimicking old Japanese period dramas still massively shapes my aesthetic tastes to this day

It may be a strange comparison but it reminded me a lot of the Brendan Fraser Mummy movie which was one of my mom and I’s favorite action movies. Same sense of fun and adventure with enjoyable and charming characters

Okay so this might actually be my new favorite Ghibli movie. I was on the edge of my seat basically the entire movie. it was definitely the most action/adventure of the ones I’ve seen so far and I really loved it. I loved the sense of mystery and adventure.

It’s funny you say that cuz I grew up playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms on console and it felt really weird to play it on a M/KB when I got one on pc. Basically only strategy game I’ve ever felt that way lol

I started watching My Hero Academia: Vigilantes a couple days ago. It's actually really good? Like, way better than regular MHA and I like MHA. Honestly fixes a lot of the problems just by being about older characters. Will likely not have the same pacing issues since its a shorter story too
