Great days to work in London. Off the train at Blackriars so on the river looking down to Tower bridge then tube tand walk past Houses of Parliament and Westminster to meeting, Finally to the office across St James and Green Parks past Buckingham and St James’ Palaces. All while the sun was shining
They drove me away. I stopped listening in November after a lifetime.
Went to see Oedipus at the Old Vic with Rami Malek and Indira Varma on Saturday. I enjoyed it but the direction was a bit busy. Wasn’t fully true to Sophocles. Indira Varma excellent and Rami Malek grew into it as the play went on. Brie Larsen’s Elektra that I saw in February better.
None match the Ben Daniels and Sophie Okonedo Medea I saw a few years back. That is the best Medea I’ve ever seen, and Euripides is my favourite. Sophie Okonedo so great on stage, excellent in Anthony and Cleopatra as well. Watching Wheel of Time now that she’s in and want to see her on stag again
Still smiling about getting to fuss a really friendly puppy in the coffee shop this morning. His owner said he was great with the kids, and with complete strangers too. Made my day.
