A new rec centre opened in town several months ago. We’ve only used it for the library but I know they messed up something in the design because they’re adding all kinds of stuff to control traffic flow and change how people check in for the pool and gym. Nailed it.
A child who is supposed to be getting ready for bed is instead reading me the Wikipedia page for the sport of hockey and no matter how many times I interrupt to ask them to please GO SHOWER FTLOG she just… keeps… reading.

It was directed at a specific student, who is Jewish. So awful. They had already talked to the kids before they sent the email so Jules already knew all about it when she got home.
Email from the kids’ school that there were antisemitic and homophobic slurs written in J’s classroom. What the hell, kids.
I actually didn’t get deodorant for K for exactly this reason! It’s gone. He needs to choose either picking it up at another store or committing to a new scent.

Dropping Abby at a party and got a text from the host’s mom that after a misunderstanding about what she meant by “out front” her kids made curling rinks on the driveway and front walk so please be careful 😂😂😂 (they’ve salted but lol)
They’re awful! And my girls are emotionally attached to them all 😂 they will absolutely not use them to wipe their skates.
Rally towel from a PWHL game
Not close to perfect but good enough! Please ignore the mess in the background— I have decided to reorganize the entire living room and we are in that middle part where everything is everywhere before we put it back. A perfect time to start a totally different, unnecessary project!
We have roughly 1001 rally towels from various sporting events we’ve attended. So today I’m stapling some of them to cheap canvases from the girls’ art stash so we can hang them amongst various other Sports Stuff in the basement instead of leaving them to rot in a drawer for the next 20 years.
It’s above freezing so absolutely everyone is in line to get their car washed today. Feeling smart for thinking ahead and bringing lunch with me.
And getting out of town during the games seems like a great plan. We chose our downtown Toronto summer plans with those game dates in mind, too.
I don’t follow it either but I remembered seeing the news when the match up was announced— it was chosen as the pride game before the teams involved were set. Both countries were… displeased. I just did a quick Google and didn’t see if they changed the plans at all.
Isn’t that also the match that was designated the Pride Match?

Jules got this one for Christmas when it went on sale right before the holiday and it’s so cute! It’s on our coffee table in the living room.
I feel like MOST people I know will be 50+ when their kids graduate? I had my kids younger than almost all of my friends and I’ll still be just a couple years shy of 50 when our girls are done high school.
We got Abby hanging organizers for her closet because she is so bad about hanging things. They’re all kind of shoved in there but at least they’re not in a pile on the floor?
It wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t take up so much space! Drawers are overflowing over here.
She will be wearing the pickle again for the next tournament with this team over Easter. We have bunny sunglasses, ears, a cotton ball tail. We also have small candies to add to this for her to hand out.
And I get it. They’re so cozy! But there needs to be some kind of limit 😂
That would have been a good rule to implement 5 or 6 hoodies ago.
Abby has so many hoodies and always wants new ones. I have agreed to buy her a new one *if* she gets rid of FIVE other hoodies first.
I made a point to teach the girls as much as I could about that stuff young, when they were too little to fine it embarrassing, just knowing they’d need it themselves some day. Definitely didn’t get into much male puberty info before Jules learned about it as school. Whoops!
