The danger to my job from AI isn't that AI can do my job, it's that my job is made even more precarious by the way AI is shaping ideas of the value of work. It can't do my job, but it can be part of convincing people (incorrectly) that my job isn't necessary.

Now my usual mechanic says there are 20 recalls on the car and maybe I should look into filing a complaint about the dealer and maybe the car is covered under the lemon law. For the first time, I called my CA rep for help for myself because IDK how to navigate all this. The lemon law is confusing.

Feels like a timely read because I have definitely been thinking lately about how my relationship with devices affects my relationship with nature. (Not in a crunchy 'digital detox' way to be clear!)
So it's going to be big money (to me, that's not much to some)--more than I could sell the car for. Don't want to eat up savings by getting another used car, but it seems like the best choice at this point. Because otherwise it's going to be repair after repair, which will also eat up savings. ☹️
