Cold day, so we ducked into Bitty and Beau’s in Rice Village. Seemed like a typical coffee shop until I read their story. Created to provide meaningful employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lovely staff. Great coffee.

A really solid weekend in New Braunfels. Lunch at Naturally in Gruene, which fits my gluten-free life well, then bowling and football at Downtown Social, and live music at Krause’s. None of it flashy, all of it fun. Sometimes places just work.

Second visit to Annapurna World Vegetarian Café. Not for everyone, but great gluten free and vegetarian options, interesting flavors, and an artsy atmosphere that makes it feel worth returning to. Sometimes fit matters more than perfection.

Thirty quiet minutes between Albuquerque and Los Lunas with mountains and a sky that made the drive feel calmer than it needed to be. Sometimes the in between parts are the best ones.
