It’s excellent!

Nope! I modified a scan of the book illustration with Procreate on the iPad.

They Republicans were hammered in Congress in '18, and just barely won the majority in '24 - a tiny shift would have flipped it blue. Most of the swingiest states have Democratic administrations this year, so it's hard to picture (unless the SAVE Act passes) how the Rs can blunt the D's strength.

He's also not a "trillioniare" anyway - the trillion-dollar pay package will be awarded in the future, only if Tesla stock increases in value 850% and car sales increase 1,100%. I think it's reasonable to say that ain't gonna happen.

You can use an LLM to look at a set of data and ask it to look for patterns or make graphical representations, if the data is formatted in a manner that is compatible. However, what I have read is that LLMs still make many mistakes with these tasks; it’s simply not what they were designed to do.

The horrendous costs I’m referring to are enormous and growing energy and water consumption, air pollution, theft of content, third world labor abuses, and the economic damage to media and creators who are losing web traffic and income to AI models that scraped their content without payment.

People build the ML model, and then train it using a very focused set of data, such as mammogram images, or by having the ML run millions of simulations and evaluate variations, which is used in a wide range of research efforts. Humans design the simulations and define the evaluation criteria.

Because election outcomes rise or fall based in large part on the votes of people who aren't paying close attention to the news, but are paying close attention to their current financial state. It is entirely logical to fight an illegal, immoral war AND fight for the attention of these voters.

That's because people are conflating generative AI (large language models and image generators) and machine learning AI. The latter is powerful and useful, and importantly doesn't involve stealing intellectual property or giant data centers. Generative AI provides little value at horrendous cost.

And yet so many high-priced law firms immediately surrendered, despite (based on their high prices) being cognizant of the law.

At least we have some new criteria for judging law firms.

The headline quote is completely misleading. Cruz is not criticizing the attack. To the contrary, he’s saying the fact that they had no nuclear weapons makes this a genius time to bomb them, because they can’t use nukes in response. He’s still a total suck-up.

Her early advocacy for women's education and for teacher education is probably the official explanation. However, she was also vocal against giving women the right to vote, which makes her a the right kind of heroine for reactionaries.

We don’t trust a 19-year old with the responsibility to choose whether or not to drink alcohol. There’s a reason for that.

Listen to his whole quote, and look at his posted comments. His β€œno” is to approving the war, not the War Powers vote. He previously voted for the War Powers act in June over a far more limited bombing campaign.

You’re misunderstanding his comment. He’s opposed to authorizing the war, not the War Powers vote. He previously voted for invoking the War Powers Act last June during the more limited Iran bombing.

Scott Galloway started posting videos of supposed celebrations an hour ago. So far I've not seen a single other source.

I didn't say I don't believe them, but I give more weight to stories that provide better documentation. I'm not a big fan of Jeffries, and have wanted Schumer to step down for almost a year, but I've seen too many unnamed source stories (from Axios in particular) that turned out to be flatly false.

I'm familiar with this reporting, but I've grown skeptical of these stories from unnamed sources that seem more interested in fanning intra-Democratic Party feuding than being informative. I want Schumer to be replaced, and Jeffries to be a lot more aggressive, but Rs are 99% responsible for this.

My concern is conflating Schumer and Jeffries with "Democrats in Congress." Other senior Democratic leaders in the House and Senate (Senators Murray and Murphy, and many others) and many in the rank and file are directly calling it illegal and immoral. They should be recognized for their fight,

There was no possibility of voting on it this last week; no legislation was being considered, and the Rs control that. Jeffries/Schumer were rumored to be lobbying against it for next week, but Jeffries announced his support for the resolution on Thursday.

Great! If he's so easily modeled by an AI system, fire him. It will save the shareholders a lot of money. It's the first use-case scenario I've seen of actually being able to replace someone with AI.

Underrated just how much the US and Israel have been desecrating the very idea of diplomatic engagement by doing these obvious bait and switches.

This is the third time now that negotiations were used as cover to prepare for a war already decided. The lesson is to never speak to the US.

I think this is just another example in the long, long historical list of technology products that make sense to a technology developer that no real human being actually wants.

Congress must return immediately and vote to put an end to this war.

Every Senator should be on the recordβ€”the American people deserve to know which of their leaders supports another potentially bloody and costly war in the Middle East.

No war with Iran.

That’s an over generalization. Senator Patty Murray is one of the most senior Democrats in Congress, and she (and many others) are calling specifically to stop the war. bsky.app/profile/murr...

Democrats plan to force Iran war powers vote next week The president has commanded a massive military buildup in the region, as he negotiates a new nuclear deal with Iran.

One of the reasons he’s doing it today is because they were forcing a vote on the War Powers Act next week. So yes. www.cnbc.com/2026/02/26/i...

According to Sam Altman’s statement, the DoD agreed to the same prohibitions that Anthropic is asking for.

After the promotional video that Hegseth released last week valorizing Elon Musk, I think this is simply an excuse to push out Anthropic to try to benefit xAI.

Trump asserts dominance by getting people to respond to him. He keeps himself the center of attention by doing so.

This time the Democrats got him to respond to THEM. They triggered him off script. And his response was the equivalent of calling them "poopyheads," and no more worthy of reaction.
