The 1st ep had so much emotion & humor & story, yet nothing felt rushed, pace was spot on. That was an incredibly tight 23 minutes. “Cox but as an intern” is simple & easy but brilliant.
The “Scrubs” return/revival has no right to be this good. Braff/Faison chemistry has NOT changed which is key to making it work. New characters are slotted in ~flawlessly~. This is going to drag me further in to my 2000s nostalgia kick.

I didn’t draw any of this, but I did assemble it into this animation from the original G1 model sheets. I noticed Grimlock’s model sheets had a fairly detailed transformation (as in lots of steps were drawn) and it might look neat as a “pencil test” animation. #Transformers

Very happy with how this grumpy fellow came out. I did the first CAD for him years ago, so it feels great to have finally finished one of my long abandoned projects.

I think this is very much a continuation of what they’ve been doing. The mini McDonald’s they did last July seemed to be a huge hit with collectors. Then they had those “designer” chicken nuggets before that, then those other designer toys before that which kinda got it started.

In the early days of CHUG it was accepted that certain G1 characters were probably not going to get a figure. Ever. Repaints were also far more prevalent. However this meant that the design team could get creative. Hence we get Darkwing out of Silverbolt.

I did the color design for this Darkwing. 🙂 I was surprised the sculpt had some hip details that could be painted to match his G1 stickers. And the silver on his knees was a little “expensive”, costing 4 paint ops, 1 for each half of the leg.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.
The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

Sureshot (and Windcharger, my 1st) is very personal to me. As a kid I picked him out of the ‘87 pamphlet, saved money, bought him… and of course he’s barely in the comics or cartoon. He’s such an under-the-radar guy but he’s MY under-the-radar guy!

However… Vogel’s Kermit voice seems to be straying away from Henson’s original. I’m starting to miss Whitmire’s which 🙈
