We'd love to connect with groups working on DNA-binding proteins, structural biology platforms, or DNA nanotechnology — and we're especially interested in hearing from anyone whose target might be a good fit for this approach. Full preprint on bioRxiv:

We built DNA scaffold crystals that can be reprogrammed to host different guest proteins for X-ray structure determination — no new crystallization screen required. This animation shows a guest protein (glowing) seeking its designed binding site inside the crystal lattice. shorturl.at/DANdc
I’ll be there and would be enthusiastic to chat Bindcraft, crystals, etc.
Making intrabodies from antibodies just got easier! Learn how we made 𝟭𝟵 intrabodies to bind and light up peptides and histone modifications in live cells. And thanks to Academia, all sequences are freely available. (video credit: Yuko Sato @YukoSatoT2) (1/15)

Very pleased with this ProteinMPNN-based collaboration that ballooned to encompass an impressive number of redesigned proteins for intracellular biomolecular recognition! www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Protein cartoon, mostly depicted in blue for very high confidence (pLDDT) despite extended N-terminus as it exists in a domain swap...
AlphaFold3 Cautionary Tale: We deposited multiple PDB entries for “CJ,” a binding protein that domain swaps when crystallizing. Local AF3 in the presence of decane gives the domain swapped form with high confidence extended N-terminus (4/5 models). Yikes! Perhaps template-driven false confidence...
The W Scott College of Engineering has announced a cluster of 10 new openings for tenure track professors in Engineering with Artificial Intelligence. We'd love for you to join our beautiful and supportive community! Please repost.

Wouldn't mind being in Pack 2 or a future one -- we're doing a variety of ML-enabled protein engineering projects from intracellular binding proteins to biomolecular crystal engineering.
Hi folks, to those teaching courses where it is useful to know the one letter amino acid code, I used Suno to make a mnemonic song (Bossa nova style...)
