I understand that paying attention is how you make a living. Paying attention is how I survive. It’s a slog mentally and physically. I find spending 24 hours in bed reading a book and napping to be a good way to disconnect and re-charge. It’s what I plan on doing tomorrow. I too, am so very tired.
There are good people every where too. We have to stick together, no matter how far apart we are.
I did hear of them suing.

I read The Franklin Cover-Up ages ago. I thought it was so outrageous, I didn’t know what to believe. So, I picked it off the shelf to give it another go. It may be more relevant now than when I read it. I’m going to employ a highlighter. Got nothing else to do this weekend.

So, I guess this a lesson for everyone that was taken in by his bullshit. The people who I tried to warn about this thought I was over-reacting. I saw what was coming and I prepared for it. Glad I did.
I have spent countless hours explaining to people that they pay the tariffs, BEFORE he was elected. But no, he convinced them that the country of origin pays it and I was fucking stupid. It was a lie and a scam from the moment it left his lips. The companies that pay the tax pass it to consumers.
Idk if you remember Trump promising people $5000 checks (because of all the money DOGE was gonna save in fraud, waste and abuse) or him promising people $2000 tariff checks (when people realized “oh, we pay the tariffs). It got people to vote for him.

I only buy what I absolutely need. And since I saw this coming in November 2024, I purchased what I knew I would need in the next four years. Clothes, new phone, winter jacket. Including a newer used car. I’m almost done paying off the car. Shit is getting tight.

None of us are getting our money back. The corporations that paid the tariff on the front end will get it. And they are not going to lower prices for consumers.
Once they lose all comfort….that’s when the hero swoops in.

Young democrats are an impatient lot. They are saddled with debt right out of the gate. And expect instant results. Their impatience doesn’t know how to take their grievance and play the long game. Republicans know how to use lower-class, undereducated “white” votes tho.
IMO voters rights should have been the project. Not the suppression of it. Democrats didn’t do enough to protect it, but republicans weaponized against it by taking advantage of a disengaged potential voting block and dressing up in bigotry. Spite is a powerful weapon. I could be wrong tho.
