I like the way that even at this scale there is room for the brain to fill in the gaps. But I am also a massive fan of the way roguelikes employ theatre of mind like few other video games. It's certainly a lot to consider!

I love text mode but I am also a massive proponent of flexible resolutions and aspect ratios (and also pixel perfect scaling) so I imagine there are so many issues with implementing all of this. And how many unique items do you plan on having to draw/assemble?
